New combination of speed sensor and integrated digital speed switch

In drive engineering, it is frequently necessary to monitor speeds in order to ensure the safety of a system and initiate appropriate control functions when a specified speed has been reached. For such tasks, Hübner-Berlin offers a new combination of speed sensor and integrated digital speed switch. When connected to a PC, this combination can be freely programmed through an easy-to-use operator software that is included in the delivery. ON and OFF switching speeds can then be set up individually for clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation, whereby it is possible to program each of the three switched outputs separately.
 
It is also possible to set up a variable switching delay to filter out overspeeds that only occur very briefly. If the switch rating of the internal electronic relays is insufficient, than an external relay module can be ordered as an accessory. There is a version with two switched outputs that includes an integral current monitoring facility which operates a separate check output.
 
Last, but not least: the software offers additional features, such as speed-monitoring graphics. This combination can be used in tough environmental conditions, is available both in solid shaft and in hollow shaft versions, and also includes an incremental output in HTL technology.
